***Official 2016 Transfer Thread***

So, Naz couldn't have had thoughts on Grad transferring 2-3 weeks before the public statement? I see why people that "hear" stuff rarely put it on here. All you get are people that argue it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he thought about it. Idk if that means he ever seriously considered it or not. I appreciate that you shared what you heard

Drakes olejniczak is leaving. He's 7 feet tall from Poland. He averaged 10 points. Drake was so bad that it is hard to know how good he is. But he's an interesting prospect for some team.

Thats got to sting for the drake coaches.

Don't want. He has to be exactly 6'10".

Another interesting thing is we haven't heard who is getting the boot this year yet. It seems like once the season is over, we usually hear who is leaving. I wonder when that will happen.

You're on a message board where people argue all the time. Do you really expect people to praise you and take everything you're hearing as gospel? You could be for real but could just as easily be full of it. If you can't handle some people questioning you, stop posting and spare us the pity party.

I know.
Yes
For real
No thanks, I'm good.

Anything else Chief?

I don't want to speculate who may or may not leave, but I believe the staff was giving the team a break last week (along with them out recruiting) and is having the close out one-on-one interviews this week. I would assume there be some announcement on the roster and individual players Friday.

I gotta think once we figure out what our options are with the guys we are after.

If we showed 2 of our post players the door right now and miss out on Livingston, Dembele, and Lard doesn't qualify, we would be royally screwed.

It's weird this stuff doesn't leak out as it appears from the last couple of years that our athletic department and basketball staff have extremely loose lips.

No inside sources, but from what my own intelligence gathered, I wouldn't be shocked to see everyone back with Ashton and Ernst not on scholarship to make room for Bowie and another big.

Oh my god not this bullsh again. What is it with some people? They just need to argue and try to prove something.

Show some actual proof or sources or STFU.

No just believe him. He's legit because he said so anonymously on the internet. Be careful or he might condescendingly call you chief. I'm still reeling from the beatdown he gave me.

I think there are a lot of naive people on this site that don't always want to hear things that go on behind the scenes if they aren't positive but I'm not going to believe for a second Naz Long ever really considered leaving Iowa State to play for another college.

I'm not sure if it's worse to think Naz considered transferring or that TJ would go around prematurely blabbing information about Naz to his friends.

Gonzaga, Uconn & Florida were the schools that were rumored earlier. There was real smoke here earlier. Wasn't just Goodman blowing off about Naz transferring.

Idk about that. Maybe teams pursued it, but doesn't have to mean he even listened. He came out rather quickly saying people don't understand how much he relished being a Cyclone. Heard he plans on leading next year's team.

Schools aren't allowed to talk to a player until they are granted their release, so I'm definitely calling B.S. on Naz being interested in specific schools, as if he had been communicating with them. There has been no reason at all to ever think Naz might transfer. Jeff Goodman is full of himself. He posts opinions on twitter all the time and plays them off as "facts". I wouldn't listen to anything that guy says, he is wrong 75% of the time.

Do you really think Jeff Goodman came up with that on his own? Lol.

Well... can't say whether he did or didn't and don't care who is right, but actually....yes,he could have come up with that on his own. Player plays 8 games on a senior laden highly ranked team, then suddenly shuts it down. Seems like all guys that have a 5th year probable become "on the list". Basketball guru makes assumption that he can't believe he'd be a loyal Cyclone that would want to stay around when most of his teammates and his former coach he came in with will be graduating/leaving. Again, it just a possiblity, that's all.
