It's possible but do you think Fred/ISU would be able to keep a lid on everything and then one of the biggest stories in ISU history is broken because Fred was dumb enough to pack up his office in a public building for all to see?

Why doesn't someone go walk by his office and see if Fred is packing in his new Bulls hoodie?

The longer this goes.....I don't like our chances. Iowa State is notorious for being transparent with the media. We have press conferences for everything. and yet not a word from Fred makes me cringe.
Between all the athletic Dept, His kids, extended family you would think something would have leaked by now though. could you imagine being Jack Hoiberg right now and sitting in the lunch room today at Gilbert High.

This is so true. There is no reason he would need to pack up before he announces anything. that would be like a a dead give away.

I just talked with a family friend of Otz and he said the feeling he was getting from Otz was Hoiberg will be around another 2-3 years.

I've trusted my buddy too and so far I cannot prove anything he has said to me is right...

I never said definitely he's leaving. I simply passed on that his office was being packed up and that my hope was at zero now. Either coincidentally it's being painted the same time as there is rampant speculation about him leaving ISU or he really is preparing to leave.

Might be nothing and as another poster weighed in it does sound like they are being painted. SO. My hope and my buddy's hope are creeping back up that Fred stays at least this year. Fred will leave eventually but I wanted him to be the one to take us to the very top.

Well you have to start somewhere and it doesnt bother me if no one believes me. The family friend played basketball with Otz back in his day and told me about the otz hire before it was public. If he was mildly confident that Hoiberg is staying then that is enough for me, for now.
