I heard JP had a commitment clause added to Hoiberg's extension last year that if a "Hoiberg-to-the-NBA-Speculation" UberMegaThread is created on CF, and such a thread reaches 200 pages in length, Fred is contractually bound to honor the remainder of his contract.

yeah, if the article is all correct though, then the longer this process draws out, the better chance of Hoiberg staying at Iowa State IMO.

I'm guessing the next step is going to be Orlando and/or New Orleans leaking out other names soon to try to get Chicago to show its' hand a bit. Like you said, Iowa State could be held hostage waiting for Chicago and the other two teams to sort the situation out before moving forward. I personally don't think Hoiberg has decided either way, but if he has decided to go, he'd be told to keep quiet to not ruin the Bulls leverage.

With Hoiberg out until July, there's no reason to rush, which sucks for the Iowa State program in regards to recruiting.

So looks like Gentry going to interview for the Pelicans job. Now that could be looked at in a good way or bad one;

Quick question. If Fred does leave, would anyone think about transferring before the start of the year? I don't know why they would, but nothing would surprise with the Chosen One leaving Ames after how last year ended and what we have coming back.
