Official 2014 Recruiting thread

We need to just raid the state of Illinois and pick up Sykes, Cotton, and Hendrix, to go along with Mister and Wesley.

Bump since this thread fell all the way to page 3.

Also has anyone heard any more about Nile Sykes? I assumed we've have a commitment this week after his tweet.

Is this normally a quieter period now that practice has started and players are getting ready for the season?

his most recent interview, he said he is taking his time on choosing. :(
 
Sykes would be a huge get for this recruiting class! Does anyone know if we are recruiting and d line prospects or more o line ones? I feel like these skill position guys are great but we need the line play to be great as well

According to Rivals, the only DE that we have an offer to and, in my opinion, have a decent shot at is Edmond Boateng - Yahoo! Sports

A very long shot at DE is Dewayne Hendrix - Yahoo! Sports as he mentioned he might, might make a visit to ISU with his teammate Micquell Cotton.

As for OL, we still have a shot with the following:

Cole Anderson - Yahoo! Sports

Gary Brown - Yahoo! Sports

Willie Wright - Yahoo! Sports
 
I think we are set at OLine with last years class and this years so far. One more couldn't hurt but DL is where I want to see us get some guys.
 
Is it just me or are we battling Indiana for nearly all our recruits? Have these recruits not heard yet? Indiana doesn't care about football...

Rhoads specializes in recruit's mothers :D. And I would REALLY like to get Cole Anderson and then a couple other DL guys to go with Sykes, Gaines could be a huge get down the rhoad (believe he is a 2016 guy)

Both profiles say '14.
