They aren't done recruiting for 2014 until all of the LOI's are faxed in on signing day. Just because you may have 20-25 committments, doesn't mean you have 20-25 guys signed.

Easier to get them on campus for unofficials when they are from surrounding states.
I didn't see the preceding post, but I assume it's referring to recruiting California--which Coach Sturdy now does.
IMO I LOVVVVVVVEEEEEE the fact that we are dipping into the WI MN and IL areas, there are typically great physical OL DL and TE out of WI and MN and some fantastic skill position players out of IL. Don't get me wrong, we shouldn't ignore CA, but the fact we are on the rise, have the facilities and in the B12, we have a leg up over some of the competition we would have lost recruits to in the surrounding areas before should point to the fact that if we can get great recruits from the surrounding areas and get them on campus early; I'm all for it.
We are pulling in great players and I don't care where they come from. Cali is nice to have, but hey we have Florida and Texas which most schools wish they had.
I love this kid's video. I'm guessing he's not fast enough downfield to stay at TE (at least, judging by the guys CPR has been recruiting), but it looks to me like he's easily athletic enough to help at a couple of other places.

Looks like Tyler Ahrens picked KSU today. Between him and Roderick Proctor, I thought we had a good chance with either of them. Just speculation, but it kind of makes me think that Rhoads might be slow playing WR's considering we already have 3 committed, and maybe he's holding out for the right one...whomever that may be.

Exactly what I was thinking. It sounds like he's got a while before he decides and I don't think Rhoads wants to take just anyone at WR at this point.
Heard some where that they are strongly considering him for tackle, don't quote me on that but I like his size and athleticism. As a guy from WI, love seeing Rhoads get some of the great talent we are finding there, all the less for UM UW and EIU
