***Official 2013 Bracketology Thread***

Also noticed the Big 12 with 10 teams has the same amount of teams making the tournament as the all powerful and mighty Big Ten with 12 teams LMAO!

They can't, unless there are more than 8 teams in the field from the same conference.

That's in response to CysRage Q: I thought teams of the same conference can't play until at least the sweet 16?

I know there's an exception even if it's fewer than 8 teams — vaguely defined as "if it's unavoidable." But I don't know all the secondary bracketing procedures.

If it was indirect fallout from other leagues having 8 or more bids, I could understand it — but it's 7-6-6-5 etc., hardly unusual.

He does have three of the four 10 seeds from the Big 12 — but he could've easily swapped Colorado and Iowa State, problem solved.

Maybe he just goofed on a detail.

Can anyone shed light on this?

Kansas City would be FRICKING AMAZING. Much better than playing Louisville in Lexington or Mich State in Auburn Hills. Of course, it's ISU...we can't be that lucky, can we?
