Gonzaga has a lot of overlap with Kansas, because of those four wins over Big 12 teams. And doesn't have a single bad loss, unlike KU.

Beyond that, Kansas has better profile.

I would put Gonzaga at 2, but I'm assuming they'll get a 1, since there are no other truly "West" teams with high-impact resumes.

Plus, UF was equally iffy closing out games as Iowa State, if one can believe that. Granted, that's partly because Gators blew out a lot of teams, but games decided by 10 points or less: 0-5.

Georgetown
Miami(FL)

In contention: New Mexico. Ohio St. (if they win the Big 10, would move into a 2 seed).

Play-In Teams:
Wichita St. (surprised myself, not a lot of good wins compared to other teams besides St. Mary's and 3 bad losses)
Boise St. (will be in the field)

Mid Tenn St.
Tennessee
S Miss
Virginia

have 3 teams for 1 spot (kentucky, Mid Tenn St., and Tennessee) none would surprise me if they get in, the rest i'm confident will get in. S Miss and Virginia have an outside chance and would be a big head scratcher like S Florida last year.

I'd be surprised if Gonzaga were pushed down to a 2. The only scenario (and one I personally might do if I were The Committee) is if KU was the 1 in the West with GU at 2. It'd be set up as a sort of "Neutral" region.

But that would require UL, IU and Miami to be the top 3 seeds, which I don't foresee.
 
Dude on ESPN just said "If it looks like a Duke, smells like a Duke, it's a number one seed."

I thought the answer would've been "it's a turd"

I think you have it pretty close on most details.

Purely on resume S-curve based on body of work, your No. 1's are what I would do. Still have a hunch Gonzaga will be the last 1 seed -- I'll be curious how they handle the 2 in that region.
 
Prediction: People across the nation will see Kansas among the 1 seeds, and completely freak out.

There is no way Kansas is not in the top 4. If people disagree, they're thinking exclusively about the TCU loss (awful, yes, but that's the only thing keeping them from being No. 1 overall seed).

And oh, how it pains me to say supportive things about KU. :sad:
 
Almost time to get real! Don't want to see st Louis in the first game, don't want the 8/9 line, want to laugh at butthurt hok fans and their "amazing" resume.

After looking at HN, I think if your hoping for maximum "butthurt" you better hope that Minnesota gets in over Iowa.

They are going to have a good record in games decided by 10 points or more because they play in the crappy SEC. Nobody is hardly capable of blowing them out. I think 0-6 in games decided by less than 10 looks really really bad. They are not going far in the tournament.
 
got Iowa State as a 10 playing Memphis. Winner plays Michigan St. in Auburn Hills. See if I'm right.
 
CBS sitting and talking with Creighton, KU, New Mexico, Zags, and others. A lot of familiar coaches.
