***Offical NBA Regular Season Thread***

Miami getting the two seed and avoiding Brooklyn in the second round definitely would not be the worst thing to happen to them. Plus I think there's a good chance Indy doesn't even make the conference finals with the way they've been playing.

Bulls just ****** away the 3 seed tonight.

Bulls still have a shot at the 3 seed. It is obviously less likely, but they need the Knicks (or the Bucks, but they are awful) to beat the Raptors, and the Bulls need to take care of business against the Magic and Bobcats.

A three seed gives an easier first round game as Brooklyn is a team nobody really wants to face, but I don't know if a Indiana or Miami match up is better for Chicago. Chicago will obviously be underdogs in either matchup.

Probably won't matter, as Joakim is bound to get hurt in the playoffs anyways... Chicago has lost their star player in the playoffs the last two seasons.

You could say the same about the Heat, who are a middling 6-4 in their last ten and limping to the finish. If Wade isn't healthy for the playoffs Lebron is going to have to carry an even bigger load. I wouldn't put it past him; he's the best player in the world right now. It'll just be a tougher road and Miami is going to get everyone's best shot.

With NJ/Brooklyn's recent history it's doubtful they even make it to the second round, they'll be playing Chicago or Toronto without home court advantage. Toronto split with them 2-2, Chicago beat them 2-1. Brooklyn's success against Miami this year is somewhat of an anomaly for a drifting franchise.

Maybe, but underestimate the old guys at your own risk. 34-15 since the start of the new year, second best mark in the East behind the Bulls for that time frame. If you're a believer in having some positive momentum going into the postseason, then the Bulls, Nets and Raptors are all serious threats to knock off Indy or Miami.

Miami resting their starters tonight and are currently being crushed by the Wizards by 30 points. Indiana has this 1 seed locked up.

Figured Miami would lay down. As the 2 seed Miami will cruise through their side of the playoff bracket.

I hope Hornacek wins COY. Guy turned a team that should have been a tanker into a major competitor. If they were in the East, they would be the 5 seed! What would happen if they got a top 3 pick?

So what are the biggest games for tonight?

Games with seeding implications:

East:
Toronto @ Knicks, Chicago @ Charlotte, Brooklyn @ Cleveland, Wizards @ Boston
(Toronto is a 3 seed with a win or Chicago loss. Otherwise Chicago is 3, Toronto 4)
(Brooklyn is a 5 seed with a win or Washington loss. Otherwise Washington 5, Brooklyn 6)
(Charlotte can get the 6 seed with Washington loss and Charlotte win.)

Indiana is 1, Miami is 2, Atlanta is 8.

West:
Detroit @ OKC. Clippers @ Portland (OKC is a 2 seed with win or Clippers loss)
Dallas @ Memphis (winner is the 7, loser is the 8)

San Antonio is 1, Houston is 4, Portland is 5, Golden State is 6.

Washington beating Boston expected but Brooklyn resting starters against Cleveland and losing meaning Wash would be 5. I think I want bulls to stay at the 4 if this happens
