***Offical NBA Regular Season Thread***

Joakim Noah had another triple double today against Detroit. 10pts 11rebs 11assists. His second triple double in the last 3 games.

I hope the clay Custer to Hinrich comparisons are a little bit true

No one gets up for regular season games like the Bulls!

Who else is really hoping for a Rockets-Thunder playoff series? I feel like Westbrook and Beverly would definitely end up in a brawl at some point during that series. Beverly gives the Rockets a real toughness.

I'm sure this has everything to do with his injury and nothing to do with trying to get a better pick in the upcoming draft.

They're not making the playoffs even if Kobe comes back. I don't think it's tanking to protect your aging star from coming back too soon and re-aggravating an injury twice in one season, especially when you just re-invested a bunch of money in him.

Come on, you don't think the Buss family isn't absolutely pleased by this development? It may not be the only reason, but improving draft position is definitely A reason why Kobe is not coming back.

Lakers will be in overhaul mode, a shot at one of the marquee fr to rebuild along with Kobe would be perfect for them. They could find the guy Kobe will eventually pass the torch to.

yep. I thought I heard that Kobe's is the only salary they have on the books for next year. They're gunning for one of the top picks.

I'm sure they're not displeased about improving their draft stock, but no I don't think this is as shady as say Philly keeping Nerlens Noel from playing all year. I mean really, name the last time a Lakers rebuilding plan revolved around getting a good draft pick? I guess you could count Kobe since they traded for his rookie contract, but even then they were building around Shaq.

The Lakers long-term plans are going to revolve around snagging a big name free agent in the next couple years and keeping Kobe healthy so they can maintain season ticket sales and tv contracts until that happens, not nailing a pick in this draft.

GOAT coach Spoelstra with a great play call at the end of the Nets game.

Heard a stat the other day that he's now 5th all time in winning percentage behind Phil Jackson, Billy Cunningham, Poppovich and KC Jones. And just ahead of Red Auerbach, not bad company.
