***Offical NBA Regular Season Thread***

Interesting scenario but don't think this would happen. Milwaukee even though they have the smallest fan base that city and it's owner Herb Kohl love the Bucks and won't let them go, which is a primary reason he bought the team. Who knows though with Stern gone and he was not wanting to expand but was considering options to move the Sacramento Kings to Seattle but that feel through. Seattle is going to get an NBA franchise but it won't be the Bucks.

I don't know how likely it is, I just know that I've heard them mentioned multiple times as the front runner to get moved ever since the Sacramento deal fell through. That franchise has consistently sold out their future in order to keep getting booted in the first round of the playoffs. Seems like it is really catching up with them this year on the court and with their fans.

I think it is more likely the NBA expands to 32 teams than they move a franchise at this point. Seattle would clearly be the first location for expansion, and then I don't know where else. Kansas City or St Louis maybe? But neither is happening soon. The owners don't want to dilute their product, nor do they want to split revenue with 2 additional teams. And no owner wants to move their team at this time.

Seattle is the first team if the NBA were to expand. Then it would be Las Vegas.

Heat cruise past the Bulls even without LeBron, can Adam Silver just give the Pacers and Heat byes to the ecf this year?

While I have next to no doubt those teams will make it to the ECF without much of challenge, the Pacers and the Heat want to avoid playing teams like Chicago and Toronto, and even Charlotte, because they play a slow grinding game, with solid defense, and don't take many possessions off. And games like those can take a toll if you have to play too many. And the Miami-Indiana match up will be another physical battle, and the more rested team may have the advantage needed to advance to the finals.

The East is so weak that Joakim Noah as an individual player is more resistance to Miami or Indiana than any other full team in the conference. It's been lopsided since post Bulls dynasty but this is the worst it's ever been. I'm a Chicago fan but it is insane they have a solid shot to finish in 3rd place losing Deng and Rose and replacing them with basically nothing.

You're exactly right, the other teams in the East are going to try to thug it up and push the Heat and Pacers around and it would be a shame if a major player on either Indy or Miami is injured and lost for the playoffs during a series against a garbage team that plays dirty.

LOL playing tough defense = playing dirty.

The Wizards make me nervous as a potential matchup for the Pacers in the playoffs. They run a big, athletic lineup that can get hot. They probably wouldn't win a seven game series but I could see them pushing Indy to six games.

Already failed in those markets thru multiple attempts in both leagues.

I guess there's always a chance but I'd think Europe or Mexico City would both get a shot before Missouri.

KC must think that they have at least an outside shot of landing an NBA or NHL team, otherwise why build the Sprint Center?
