Start of the season that same site had him as a top 10 pick. Last week someone posted and he was 16. Now he is 19, and I am guessing by the end of the year, he will be on the late first or early second round pick. From lottery, to that, is plummeting.

I love this team but at the same time, I despise them. These guys can and should be so much better, I don't care if it's December 22nd or February 22nd - play the damn game with some effort and discipline!

Mental toughness would be the excuse. When you have huge leads in a game, it takes a good mentality to hold onto them. ISU lacks that.

I know this maybe comparing apples to oranges but, in high school I never lost focus in a game because I was thinking about Christmas break.

I hear you. When I was on the 7th grade C team, I never lost focus either. Well, I never had less focus than I had at the beginning of the season.

So why are you and others trotting out this holiday excuse business? This is not a calendar problem - this is an ISU MBB team problem.

Fix it and this will be a very fun year. Don't fix it and we will be a rather frustrated fanbase.

Gilstrap is the best player on the court tonight? He still has trouble finding the rim at times but he's very creative and doesn't shy away from contact.

Don't we have enough guys to play this level of defense all the time? Even if you give up some easy points now and then, you get so many easy baskets and just wear out the other team.

Most of these guys live and breathe basketball. I doubt they care as much for christmas as they do basketball.
