who all was on the offensive line in the final drive? they appeared to be getting a good push

I wouldn't read too much into that, they were fresh and getting what might be their only game time of the year and it was against a deflated/exhausted/second team Western Illinois defensive front.

That was the third team OL. I know I saw Drew Davis out there. I'm sure it was the WIU 2nd team D tho.

ISU 1st team o-line has some issues. They are not very consistent and lack on the run blocking

I think part of the blame for that lies with the RBs. If you go back and watch the game replays there are lots of times where a hole has opened up and the RBs chose to kick it outside or juke right into a defender.

I do think that O-line improvement is probably the #1 thing we need going into conference play though. Give the RBs big holes and give Steele time to check down.

I think the OL run blocking needs to get better, but there's a reason why James White had more success than Shontrelle last night.... he goes through the hole he does have and heads straight for the opponent's endzone. I love Shontrelle's ability to make people miss, but when nobody is there to juke, just do into a dead sprint straight ahead and quit dancing around in the hole.

I'm so glad we still have James White. I'm glad we have both White and SJ both, but sometimes we just need a guy in there that is going to burst straight through the hole and get what he can like White does. I think Shontrelle needs to burst straight through the hole like White, but then when he gets to the level of the safety, then put on a juke move to avoid that last defender.

Shontrelle wants too much to make every play a highlight reel sometimes. Often times, it only takes one good cut to make a great run.... and not 3 or 4 cuts.
