NYC on a budget. Tips!

Couple questions I hope you can help. I'm thinking of catching an overnight bus from Montreal on Thursday night (earliest Amtrak won't get me to NYC on Friday till 8:30pm). I can't find much detail on Greyhound's site about where exactly it drops you off at (the ticket just says New York, NY). From what I see online it seems that it drops you off at the 42nd street Port Authority Bus Terminal (Between 8th and 9th Ave). Any clue if this is correct? I'm hoping so because then it would just be a quick 20 minute jog to meet up with friends staying at the ISU charter hotel (about 3 blocks E of 30 Rock).

Haven't taken a bus from Montreal, but taken a few busses in and out. 99.9% go in and out of Port Authority, so I am sure you are correct. Easy to get out of there and yes about 20 minute walk to Lexington Ave area, which is the area I am guessing the hotel is located. I am sure it's Port Authority.
