Now THATS how you beat Ohio State!

Honestly, OSU is not that good. Were much better last year. I think the Big 10 is down this year, by the end of the season they'll be exposed. (By down, I mean 2nd best conference)

And by "not that good" I mean they're not a top 10 team. Top 25, yes.
Too bad we ruined your weekend. Beating OSU at their place is tough to do. If OSU is not that good , Oklahoma is horrible.

scoreboard @ hilton. You didn't ruin anything for me from your couch, and the hawks didn't either. I'll take a consolation prize of this helping ISU's RPI. We already beat Iowa.

I thoroughly enjoyed his whining after he was clearly draped all over the back of marble.
At least we all agree on Aaron craft- don't know how he gets away with the crap he does, but nice to see him foul out and screw up at the end of the game. Priceless

Uuuh, go back to your previous post of saying just that...

And you are a boner. Enjoy your win and remember: scoreboard.

They should have beat Wiscy on the road, they did beat OSU. Making me buy in that they are legit. Good thing in my perspective it makes our win look that much better. It's great to have a legit national rivalry starting up again. I wasn't old enough to appreciate the mid 80s lafester rhodes era games. ISU and IA will never be consistently relevant on a national level at football (Iowa despite some of the delusional thinking in that fan base won't ever consistently be there either). However, both can be top 20 programs year after year, and there can be yeas where both are top 10 in basketball. That program recognition will be good for both athletic departments, and universities, and by extension the state.

As much as I love seeing Hawk fans in misery always losing close games against top competition by an Iowa team that is supposedly good enough was hurting us. It's the old we're their superbowl thing. They beat us at home because all the Iowa kids on their team get up for the game and can't finish against anyone else. That kinda thing ends up hurting our RPI. Nice to see them starting to grow past that as a program.

not happening. they aren't touching MSU

they will also drop a few that they'll be favored in.

They hung with MSU last year (lost both games by three points), and MSU just got a scare from Minnesota. They aren't untouchable. I don't see Iowa beating them in the Breslin Center, but I won't be surprised at all if Iowa beats them in Carver.

It might be a short lived rivalry as Iowa is losing a lot over the next 2 years and I don't see anything coming down the pipe that is anywhere close to Marble/Basabe/White.

Guessing this win for Iowa will look like ours vs Michigan. Looks very good at the time, but not so much at seasons end. OSU is VERY overrated from watching them play today. How many times did they just dribble the ball around the perimeter for 20 seconds and then turn the ball over?

Aaron Craft fouled out. That tells you that the officials were actually good.

He had a good 13 fouls in their OT loss to MSU earlier this week. Not exaggerating, unbelievable what they let him do on the road even. Didn't happen today and happy to see it.

Agree. I think OSU ends up around a 4 seed, Michigan a 5. Both teams are far worse than they were last year. Only difference really being Iowa was on the road.

Even if this is true, then who is legit in the BIG? There's no one left to expose that OSU isn't great. Watch the pundits list the top 5 in the BIG and it's Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio State, and Michigan State. I believe Wisconsin is overrated (if not Iowa losing by 4 on the road was certainly a great showing). If Ohio State is overrated, and Michigan is also overrated as you imply by saying our win wasn't that impressive, that leaves a 2 team race between Iowa and Michigan State with Illinois making some noise.

This one will stand up and if it doesn't it just serves to be one less obstacle for Iowa contending for the title of the BIG conference.

Is Zach McCabe supposed to be a good shooter? He's 1-16 from 3pt range in the last 6 games.

North Dakota State is Ohio State's best win.....
