NOW OFFICIAL: Colvin to transfer

It's ok. ISU doesn't need him. He was way over rated. He's not that good. Probably wouldn't have played much next year anyway. This opens up more time for Bubu!

I hope you forgot this guy:jimlad:

He should have spoken with Colvin first.

Yes and no...Buckley would still be behind DG, SC, Phillips, and Bubu...Buckley is a good kid, very up front about everything. Nothing wrong with wanting more PT.

In all seriousness...this is getting old and you can tell it is happening too much when it doesn't even faze me anymore.

I'll 2nd that with a side of, well maybe we aren't any better than the Hawkeyes now. To sad for words.

Might be the most anti-climactic announcement ever. We've known this was coming for a week... then we get a 2 line statement just saying 'he gone'.

That said, gotta wonder who's next....

Running out of options.

Since he was suspended for (nearly) a month in January, did anyone really expect anything else to happen?

Really?

I'm surprised it's taken this long. My bets were he would be gone within a week or two of the Big XIIs.

I thought that too when it went down, then I wavered a little bit after his statement and the dedication it looked like he wanted to give.

Then the real world smacked me today...

Serious question here....has a player ever transferred out before primarily because the ASSISTANT coach who recruited him left the program? I mean, I can understand players wanting to transfer when the head coach is fired or takes another job, happens all the time. But leaving because as assistant coach leaves, even if he was your primary recruiter? How often does that happen?

IMO, really goes to show that McD seems to be sorely lacking in developing any sort of personal bond or relationship with his players, which by this point is a Captain Obvious sort of statement by now. I just wonder how much more JP will put up with this BS. Oh, wait a minute, since JP hired him and JP's ginormous ego seemingly refuses to acknowledge his hiring error, at least one more season.

Brad Brownell formerly of Wright State was hired by Clemson this week. Another good, young coach already poached by another major conference school since we're keeping the status quo....

Hey JP, is this what you meant by "next level"?
