I like the way that Heacock adjusted the defense after San Jose State came out in a power running set ...went the length of the field and scored.....
I think that Heacock is one of the better def coordinators in the country....
When you try to defense a power running game with a 4-2-5 defense...U will have problems....
Reminds me of the Nebraska @ Wisconsin game when Bo Pelini said "We dont have enough linebackers to play in the big 10...Bo should know since he played for Earle Bruce @ Ohio State in the Big 10.............

Almost had a couple more turnovers.
One was the fumble, recovery, TD that was blown dead by a blown call from the refs. The second was the slant pass that was broken up at mid field that I think hit Payne right in the chest. That one would have gone to the house as well.
The defense is getting more comfortable with this system. Guys were flying around the field yesterday. Shows they were reacting instead of thinking.

I'm just glad to see that Tribune finally figured out how to get ISU an interception...just bat it to someone else that can actually catch.

Even against TCU the defense wasn't bad. I think we forced 4 or 5 three and outs. The defense needs to learn to tackle and has other work to do, but they are definitely in good hands.
