Not enjoying the madness

I literally woke at 5am this morn and the loss was the first thing on my mind; depressing way to start the day

then I had to listen too the early news talk hosts complaining how their brackets were busted by specifically mentioning us.

Things kinda suck right now; I think I need another day, or two.

If Gonzaga goes down before the sweet 16, that will just make the UAB loss about 100 times worse because we would have been a virtual lock for the elite 8.

Didn't watch the Okie St game but am happy LeBryan Nash's college career is finally over. It seems like he has been putting up big numbers against us for an eternity.

How do they determine the day/time teams play? Playing one of the first games of the tourny blows.

I don't know how they determine it and I am in no way making an excuse for the loss because our guys still should have woken up for the game, but I do NOT like this:

7pm, 7pm, 8pm, 8:30pm, 8:30pm, 7pm, 8pm, 6pm, 7pm, 5pm, 4pm, 6pm, 5pm, 8pm, 7pm, 8pm, 8pm, 6pm, 3pm, 8pm, 1pm, 8pm, 1pm, 8pm, 3pm, 8pm, 1pm, 8pm, 3pm, 8pm, 7:30pm, 6pm, 8pm, 5pm, 11:40am

I know the logistics are tough, but I wish the NCAA tournament would find a way to avoid such early games (especially on weekdays.) It goes against what the players have gotten used to all season when the average start time for their games is around 6:30pm. It also sucks for the fans to have games starting before noon on a weekday.

I get it, but UAB had to play at 11:40am too.

Like I stated, my comment was in NO way an excuse for ISU's play. Fully aware our competition played at the same time...

The point was simply on how they make kids (regardless of team) play in the evening all night long and when it matters they play at a VERY inconvenient time to both fans and players who are not used to that time frame.

I just see it as a shame they can't find a way to get more games closer to the typical time slots that people are used to watching and kids are used to playing in. It just sucks as a fan that you have to be a total flake at work if you want to watch.

You would think TV ratings would be better as well if fans could watch in the evening.

I agree, that wasn't the reason. Their guards were athletic enough to keep with ours and their overall front court looked better than ours. Not as skilled, but more athletic and deeper. William Lee may have been the highest rated recruit between both schools. This has def been the hardest tourney for me to watch after our loss. I wasnt as in to bball back in 2001. I was tryin to root for Iowa, but my Iowa fan friends have made that impossible.

I watched a couple games yesterday but I just have a sour taste in my mouth from us losing in the first round to to a very mediocre team. If we would have won by one, I probably would have watched every game after work until the end of the night. Same goes for football, when we are doing well, I watch a lot more college football than when we are sucking.
