I think its just fans and others on social media saying they should cancel the season. It'd be virtually impossible for them to cancel the season from a legal and monetary standpoint.

Well, now that Northwestern is no longer the only private school in the conference, their usefulness to the Big 10 might have just run out.
But what about all of their 'classic college football moments' that the BTN shows?
I would kill for their schedule this year. Any team not Northwestern would win 10 games with it.
In Iowa City, you get a raise and extension for this kind of behavior regardless of winning the West or not.
It would be interesting to see what the Big 10 would do to replace Northwestern in the unlikely event that they decide sports just isn't their thing anymore.

Yep even if you're taking Ls it's better to play. With the turmoil they've been thru their fan base expectations will be low. IMO.
