North Carolina Central

Cannot over look anyone in the tourney, we better be ready to play a tough game.

Agreed, and that's exactly why I think we're going to dominate this game. Our team this year has not been caught flat-footed much, and Fred seems to get the best out of his teams in the NCAA tourney. I bet they aren't watching film of anybody but NC Central, and I really doubt that a team this veteran-heavy will get caught off guard. Not trying to run down NCCU, but I think we can keep the nut cups put away for this one.

I GUARANTEE, we finish a backdoor oop off a set play Friday. Bookmark it and and set your watch to it, Fred Hoiberg will backdoor oop the crap out of you regardless of how smart your team is.

Only way to stop it is an athletic 7 footer.

I guess we are paying Florida with the way this guys is talking

Nowhere I have said we would beat ISU by 20 or at all. I have watch or listen to almost every game the past to seasons, this team is special. NCCU is also veteran-heavy will not get caught off guard.

WSU, NCST, Maryland and Cin fans all said they would beat up by 20 plus, never happen.

Oh, it could happen. ISU led the country in margin of victory before it got into the toughest conference in the country. We smoked Akron, a school with a similar RPI to NCCU, on a neutral court. Of course UNI also took us to overtime. I'm not going to sit here and say the upset is impossible. ISU fans know that's not true all too well.

But the fact remains NCCU still hasn't played a team ranked in the top 150 of the RPI this calander year, and every team ISU has played in this calender year was ranked inside the top 150. So if playing good competition matters at all I like our chances. NCCU has the 336th ranked strength of schedule out of 349! Seriously, thats like NAIA level of competition.

All of the above. Plus good scouting by Asst. They will know all of your set plays by Friday, this is a very smart team.

Ha, it's one thing thinking they know our set plays and a completely different thing stopping them. NCCU beat one tourney team all year long. We played and beat 4 in our last 4 games (two 9 seeds, a 6 seed, and a 2 seed) For all of them it was the second or third time we were playing them so you would think they'd have us scouted by now. Yet we averaged 86 points in that 4 game stretch.

In short, good luck with that!

Well, pending their play-in game. We aren't counting those yet.

Those aren't the top seeds though. Virginia, Villanova are as favorable of a 1, 2 seed as we could of hoped for in our bracket.
So? You do realize we have to get to those seeds for it to matter? It matters so much more to have a weaker first few opponents.
How is UVa and Nova more favorable than WSU and Michigan? Plus a now healthy MSU as the 4-seed is like having another 2-seed.
