There have always been bag men. The NIL rules just allows it to happen in the open now.
You aren't wrong. But now it opens up a bunch of avenues for legit businesses who would have never participated in the bag man part of it, nor did they. Now they can.

I'd like for one person to explain to me how this situation is actually beneficial to ISU. I'd like to hear it.

How so?

Just wait until a university pays their star players to promote season tickets or general enrollment in the university.

well for one, it seems like “paying for an interview” is really “paying for playing at A&M”. For a member of the media to do this doesn’t sit right with me. Second, by revealing how much they paid for the interviews, I’m afraid that it will turn into a pissing match between who can spend the most money to get headlines and exposure. Especially with the lack of restrictions on NIL right now.

Pretty sure the university can't have a part in it. Could be wrong, but think that's what I read.

Now, is the Gridiron Club seperate from the University/AD?

Exactly. $10,000 is well above the value of the service.
