Nick Noskowiak

Why didn't anyone try to recruit NN as a fall back? I'm not sure it's so cut and dry either.

The same reason we didn't really go after him with MA on staff? Talent not worth the perceived risk, particularly two months ago. Now there are less chairs and some of the issues/concerns are more known.

C'mon Rhodehouse, admit you were bored, with nothing planned on a Friday night, so you thought 'hmmm what can I do that will stir up CF, and keep me engaged for a few hours?'

Not really my thing.

I do admit I don't like my opinion being misrepresented or people pulling out strawmans and acting like I'm an idiot or I'd probably have just stopped replying to those guys by now.

But, here I am. Not very disciplined I guess.

Nobody has explained the risk to me yet even though many have acted like I've been given 100 plausible answers.

I do think there are really two explanations:

1. What you just said, NN has some type of risk off the court that nobody in the public knows about and TJ was willing to take a chance on it when nobody else but USC was willing to.

2. NN is not viewed as highly as the recruiting services view him in the college ranks

Probably a combination of both?

If those are they options, I probably have a higher opinion of NN than most college teams.

Now crucify me everyone.

3. It's almost May and 95% of 2015 recruits have committed and 95% of schools have their scholarships filled or have no need at guard.

I keep telling you but you only like your options so just go with those.

I think you're nit picking here. We knew how good Kane was at the very least, we booted Amardi for him, which I don't think Fred would do lightly.

I think our reputation as Transfer U and our recent success would get us into plenty of doors. I don't doubt Fred's or TJ's connections either. Hell, Washington had maybe the top transfer in the country that we apparently didn't want for personal reasons I guess.
Not at all. You were talking about recruiting ability. That is measured by winning recruiting battles, not by the talented recruit with limited options. Transfer U is from the %, not from recruiting ability.

Agree, RH you're not usually a poster most hate on so much. But right now you're coming of as screaming from the top of a soap box "WHY ARE WE EVEN CONSIDERING A RECRUIT NO ONE ELSE WANTED".

Chill, take a step back and let those that know recruit. If you'd like to speculate on how he'd fit in once eligible to play go for it. but the other soap box perching makes you look silly.

Man, this is the 4th post I've said this to.

I have nothing against us taking NN. I think it's a good move. It makes sense. The effort it is taking us to get him compared to his upside is minimal.

This is not a "NN sucks" issue. Do not try to paint it as that.

I think that is absolutely absurd if NN is actually a top 100 talent. There are plenty of open spots.

If he is more of a 3 star type guy, it makes more sense.

Take your pick.
