Lot of threads starting about next year's team. I was wondering if anyone had any inside knowledge of how Nick Babb looked on the scout team this year? Will he see many minutes next year?
Even if Morris were to not return (doubtful IMO) we have a lot of guards on the roster.

Prohm said if he was eligible this year he would have been in the rotation. That's about all I've heard on him

Prohm has publicly stated that if he was eligible this season, he would've been in rotation.

I could see his length and bloodline helping him become a really good perimeter defender

The 8-man main rotation next year is probably: Morris, Naz, Thomas, Burton, Malou, Bowie, Jackson, (some post).

The (some post) player will probably be a transfer, but could be Young, Ernst, Carter, etc.

Then beyond the 8-man rotation, Cooke, Babb and JLong are going to be fighting for minutes in the backcourt. Hopefully he's good enough to expand the rotation - but it's more likely that he gets inconsistent minutes next year based on need and opponent.

Not a 7 foot post so it's whatevs for me.

have Nike get on this.

Seems like some of the players have sort of mentioned him as being the leader on the non-starting squad.

My guess is being an underclassmen in an upperclassmen, guard heavy lineup he'll probably get spot minutes next season. I have high hopes for him in the future. Sounds like with his length/athleticism he could be a nice defender like his brother.

He'll get some minutes, a lot depends on how Cooke and others progress this summer. I could see Babb getting anywhere from 1-15 minutes per game next season depending on how everything falls.

The most important question: will all the ladies (and many dudes) fawn over him as much as they did Chris?

I'm straight as they come but Chris Babb was one delicious slice of human.

How will minutes be split between all of our guards (assuming 3 guard line up)? 120 minutes available between Monte, Matt, Naz, Hallice, Babb, Jackson, and Long. Will Deonte see some guard minutes as well?

It doesn't leave much for the rest if we assume Monte, Matt, and Naz get 30 minutes each.

Is there a chance Long redshirts?

Not sure, but I just really hope that it is an issue that we can't find enough minutes for Big 12 caliber guards.

If we play small and guard heavy I wouldn't be suprised to see Babb in a situational rotation. If Cooke gets back to 100%with a full off season of work he could too. We are very loaded at 1-3.
