How is it that Niang doesn't get a shot the last 6 minutes of regulation against Baylor and from my count doesn't get one the last 10 minutes of this game.

Seems to be that he needs to be more forceful and his team needs to understand that their success runs through him.

I didn't get to see the game so those reasons make sense for his lack of shots. Just seems like he is going to need to take over at some point and let everyone know it's his team.

You have to work to get good shots when you are being guarded

He can't keep up in this kind of game. In poor shape, and they press the whole time. He was gassed from minute 2.

This. It's no wonder we can't close out games. Not really pointing the finger anywhere, but seems like we've gotta try playing some more guys.
Seems like WVU's student section "bum of the game" got into his head a little bit. Either that or the press...or the refs...

Niang's foul trouble is a lot of it, and I think he's better in the 5 spot for getting more shots up when McKay's not in. Yet, then we struggle rebounding even more. Its a dilemma no matter how you slice it. Even tho there are lots of plays throughout a game, the following scenario tells a lot, imo, - when Nader and Burton got offensive boards, or in close baskets, we either were fouled (and not called), missed, or would get blocked. Meanwhile our opponent in the same scenario is usually getting a foul called on us or the bucket and one! I don't know if its size/height, fatigue, or what, but them getting easy buckets inside and us coming away empty is a huge difference in how the game plays out. We almost always out shoot the other team %-wise. Imagine if we were getting some of the 2nd chance gimme's they are getting.
