Niang article

Pretty crazy that the Jazz have a video tribute for him and Sixers fans already love him. We know how much ISU fans love him. He's obviously an extremely well liked person. I could see him being a coach someday. Would love for him to start out as an assistant in ten years under TJ once he retires.
FFS! I am almost 50. Are you saying I have to wait nearly into my 70's to have him or Threesus as our coach. Change this narrative please. ;)

Georges is not the most talented player that has ever come through here, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find one that loves ISU more...and is more beloved by CyclONEnation.
You make an interesting point. Sometimes I wonder if folks like Georges are super talented in the work category. Which makes them great in spite of other limitations. In all candor Georges is limitless in his ability because his psyche is so well in tune with soma.

Count your blessings, child...I'm almost 20 years older than you. Hoping I last long enough to see one or both of them here!
Holy crap. We are the geriatric club. :)

I really hope Naz is on the coaching staff when TJ needs him.

Georges deserves a place on the Cyclone Mt Rushmore. Come at me.

No argument from me. He replaced Hoiberg (player) as my favorite Cyclone of all time. He won a lot of games and represented ISU on a national level like no player ever has. And then he stuck it to all his haters by forging a successful NBA career. On a related note, what's Jarrod Uthoff up to?

He is playing in Japan.

I love the guy! Watched him play twice last week on TV. He definitely has to be a high effort guy and play smart basketball in that league! He doesn't have the elite talent compared to many of his peers but that is what makes him so easy to like and cheer for! He busts it when he is out on the court!
Respectfully disagree regarding his talent. I think he’s EXTREMELY talented but athleticism is his downside. We’re probably thinking/saying the same thing but just in different ways

Yeah...I think we are saying the same things in a way. Obviously he is incredible as a basketball player. But at that level...all of the players in the NBA are phenomenally talented. Either way...I love Georges!

I think his hand-eye coordination and ability to shot with either hand are 100/100, but vertical jumps and wingspan are the measurables at the draft.

Does he stick for 10 years total?

That would be quite an achievement.

I think he'll have a spot as a 12-13th man for as long a he wants it. Then he can transition into coaching/front office at NBA or College level. Teams often talk about the value of knowing your role and I think as Niang ages, he'll be valuable as a player even if his skills aren't NBA level any more. ...hopefully a long long time from now.

If Georges wants to be a coach, I'd love it. But honestly I see him being a color guy or an analyst. Naz is the future coach, in my opinion.

Yeah he will be an actual long term vet I'm pretty sure the way he shoots it.

Another thing I was seeing the other day is that Morris is a couple decent games from going into career double figures scoring average.

"Army Swiss Knife?"

Like, a cheese knife for the army?
“He’s like the Army Swiss Knife for us,” Green said. “He does a little bit of everything. I like that nickname for him. Some guys call him the Minivan; some guys call him the Sprinter; some call him the Army Swiss Knife. He’s a great shooter, high-IQ player, can handle the ball a little bit for a four. … He does all the little things we need him to do, a blue-collar guy. But ultimately, a team player. He’s going to fit right in and have that second group moving the ball a lot.” :D
