I'm sick and tired of waiting for next year. Yeah, I know this was only CPR's 2nd year and CFH's 1st year, but I can't wait for next year anymore. It feels like I've been waiting for next year all of my life. I want the Cyclones to be able to contend for a conference championship once in a while. Every time it looks like things should be going our way I try an push away all the past and let my guard down. Then WHAM! A swift kick in the junk. Men's basketball might as well give up the season now. I don't think they win another game. I wasn't expecting greatness this year, but another bowl game and the NIT would have been nice.

Since we're so close in some of these games, I'm not givin in on this year just yet. I just wish we'd try something different at the end of the games. You can see the coaching staff is working at tweaking things though in some areas with Bubu starting today.

But yeah as far as next year, I'm not only excited for that, but I think not only next year, but many to come.

Worst part is I don't even like basketball unless the cyclones play.

Think about what the current MBB staff would have done with a team including Garret, Brackins, and WJ. Three NBA players (I'm betting Diante goes pro and have said that since he was a freshman). Good times are coming as long as the players pan out.

CPR has made amazing progress. Unfortunate this year, but that's part of the culture he's trying to change.

I'm a long time fan and am used to "next year", but this time I think it's real. I just feel bad for the kids on this years teams. They're playing their hearts out.

Patience grasshopper.

Your life will be better if you root for USC, Texas, Florida, Ohio St. in football. Then root for Uconn, Syracuse, kansas, and Kentucky in basketball.

I don't know about anybody else, but I didn't pick a single one of my favorite teams - they picked me. I will always root for ISU and will wait for next year until it comes.

I'm a long time fan and will continue to be as well but, this isn't the only time I thought "next year" would be real.

You and me both. I thought Chiz was going to be the real deal and I was obviously wrong. I was even more convinced McD would ruin the MBB program. Unfortunately, I was right. I guess we'll know a lot more after the nest season, but my money is on success.

I understand the sentiment, but you know what? You're going to.

I have many great memories of us contending for a conference championship.. Actually, Kansas and Texas are the only schools who have been regular season Big 12 conference champions more than us(Only 5 teams have even 1 championship). I still have my Big 8 Champions shirt too. Its not supposed to happen every year and definately not this year. We will have our chances. And when we don't, you don't whine on wishing we were a power house that reloaded with 5 star recruits every year.. you recognize that those 7 kids fought hard against a very deep and athletic team. So man up and cheer the boys on.. they're in a tough spot right now, and could use some support. When a championship does come, and I think we'll be contending soon, it will be all the sweeter.

try being a lions NFL fan and a Cyclones fan. 0 and 16? and a terrible year for cyclone sports.... sometimes its hard not to slit my wrist....

We're actually NOT terrible at every sport. We're actually pretty damned good at a majority of sports. Unfortunately for us, it's just not in the two sports the most people care about. Yet. We'll get there, but only with continued support from the fanbase.

This. Success will come in Football and Basketball, we just need to have faith in the coaches we have now. I honestly think that CPR and CFH will stay as long as we need them to so that is a great start. Good programs are not built overnight or in this case in a year. We absolutely cannot afford to change coaches ever 2-4 years as we have been in football and basketball. Like I said above, it is a great thing to have CPR and CFH because they are not going anywhere anytime soon. We just need to stand behind our current teams.
