ISU has a ridiculously hard schedule the next 10 games. I guess I don't see how they will be able to do much better than 5-5 in those games.

Houston---should be close game, WIN???
Duke---http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYOgC2Qbqh4, Loss
NDSU---Last year this might have been a close game, WIN
Texas---They have too much talent, Loss
@ NEB---Road games aren't exactly ISU's strength, Toss-up
@ Tech---See above, Toss-up
Kansas---Again, too much talent, Loss
@ Oklahoma---They have played poorly this year, Toss-up
Colorado---The only for sure conference win, WIN
@ Baylor---This team is weird, they have the talent to be top 25 but aren't, Loss

I only see 2 for sure wins---guess I'll be drinking alot again over the next several weeks. Oh well, those meetings on Thursday nights at the Y aren't all that bad...

I don't think I'd be too upset coming out of that 5-5, it sucks cuz most of the winable conference games are on the road but with the toughest ones being at home maybe we can pull an upset. Either way this 10 games strectch is going to set the tone for the rest of the season.

If this team wants to be 1 of 64, they NEED to beat Huston, NDSU, NEB, CU and Tech. They also need 2 wins out of Duke, Texas, KU, OU and Baylor.

I agree - winning just 5 of the 10 won't cut it. I assume Gmac is telling the team just what you posted...

Need 7 wins out of this stretch if we want to go dancing.

Disagree. 5 wins is ok as long as we take care of the 2nd half of the Big 12 season. 8-8 in the Big 12 and we are a bubble team due to the Big 12 being the best conference in the country

If we win 5 out of the next 10, then we would have to win 6 out of the last 9. Very possible with how the schedule is

Honestly, there is no reason this team cannot do it. They have a solid amount of talent and most everyone has played together for 2+ years. I can see wins at both OU and BU for obvious reasons. I think Texas is #1 in the country and while I'm not one to write a game off as a loss, this is about as close to one that I've seen. KU is obviously good, but beatable. Bringing them into a ROWDY Hilton will help. Duke will be interesting. At times they look very tough, other time they look like a team that doesn't belong in the top 25. I think it mostly depends on which Cyclone team shows up.

8-8 in conference will probably put us on the bubble, I'm just not sure we'll get to 8-8. The difference in getting there is winning 6 or 7, of the next ten. Not 5.

Can't argue with this. Sunday is going to be telling. Houston is a GOOD basketball team.

Uhhh yeah, I'm not sure that this game is as winnable as everybody thinks...

Aubrey Coleman is an absolute stud 27ppg/8rpg/4apg/4spg...

I'm taking the OVER in this game

I dont disagree I just think that this next stretch sets the tone for the rest of the season. If the team goes 5-5 it is OK but if you go 7-3 that's real momentum heading into the home stretch. I would hate to see our season get to the point where we have to win 2 rounds in the BIG XII tourney to get a sniff at the Big Dance.

Hey don't get me wrong I think we need to win 7 games as well. I think the Duke game is McDermott's chance for a great win! A turn around the program kind of win

Eh. While those numbers are impressive, you need to take into account whom they've played. He could be in the same position CB was last season, the only option. We beat them last year on their floor and we are a much deeper/better team now. While this game does cause a bit of anxiety for me, they're not even in the top 5 teams that I'm worried about in the next 10 games.

I am hoping for 5 wins but expecting four.

8-8 in the Big 12 might get us on the bubble but to be on the bubble with that record we'd probably have to beat 2 top 25 teams. 19-11 and 8-8 with only wins against weak teams is NOT a bubble team.

Sad because this used to be what we wanted. This would be a perfect set up for us back in the day.

Let's just worry about Houston and taking them down. One game at a time. So cliche-but it is the best way to go about it.

Come on Clones....get hot!

+1... this team needs to be focused on the next game on their schedule and not the next 10 (not saying that we can't ). If they come to play each night like we all know they're capable of, we could see really good things. I think a 7-3 record isn't out of the question, and nor do I think they can't compete with the likes of the dookies, ku and the horns.
