New Uniforms Revealed

Vikings wearing throwbacks this season:

Are these gonna be their regulars or alternates? If regular, I kinda like last years a little better. These are fine.

Can add Vikes to 'cookie cutter' list (UTEP, Auburn, Florida, and probably a whole bunch more) that @clonedude likes.

And I'm not saying I don't like them, they're nice, OK. I'm just not extremely thrilled, that's all. And they are becoming so common. Let's call them classic cookie cutters, ccc for short! :)

Wait for it...the Chargers will be next to do ccc (classic cookie cutters)!

I'm kidding, of course. What they have is classic Chargers, and I don't see them changing drastically.

This is a throwback uniform they are only wearing the first game of the season.

Seems a shame to only go 1 game. Like ISU and the '23 Trice unis.

I'd say, if the odds were 50/50 (which they aren't) on ISU going 2 games with the Trice unis, I would bet "over". I think they will go 2 games.

I know a lot of it comes down to cost, templates, and various rules... but it's really a shame there isn't much more variety in styles and themes in CFB and NFL.

I agree. Seems to usually go that way. Have the uniform for a test run then if they fans really like them the teams will bring them back. Falcons brought back the red helmet last year for one game and now this year I believe they are going to wear it for multiple.

At least "cookie cutter" for a reason - these are absolute fire - except, wishing the models weren't wearing black hose (maybe the Vikes wore black hose with these uniforms "back in the day", but I hope not)

I was def not complaining about "cookie cutter" designs coming out recently - 95% of them look way better than what they were wearing previously

This new Vikes TB is 1,000% better than their standard home uni (& their standard home uni is way less offensive than others in the NFL)

If EVERY NFL & college team went to "cookie cutter" Northwestern stripes & block numbers, the world would be a better place

Now that the NFL allows more than one helmet, I will be curious to see if they every do a city connection uniform like the NBA and MLB. Most of those uni concepts aren't very good, but its just another way for teams to make more money.

Exactly. Like the 'test run' for the upside down poop emoji, on the helmet vs. Texas!

It seems like they could somehow ascertain fan interest/acceptance a little better than that.

Understood. The ccc look is OK, definitely classic, clean. There is something to be said for that. I just think if all the teams go that route, unis will get kind of boring. And if they did, we'd probably long for something else.
