I love new uniforms and all but they are really really hyping this up and it's kind of annoying. I hope it's not a let down.
Oh I'm fully expecting to be letdown by them.

Yeah, this should have been kept as a surprise. Or are they just using this to try to increase Spring Game attendance?
I'm trying to keep my expectation in check. The track record over the past decade hasn't been great. The CyHawk Trophy 2.0 was a disaster. The last uni revamp was meh (though they look better on the field than I initially thought). The Bugle was another somewhere in between those two.
Here's to hoping they have something good in store for us tomorrow for once, and it'd be great if they had some good t-shirt/sweatshirt/hat options for sale as well. I'm a sucker for throwback/alt logos but ISU hasn't traditionally done it very well.

Even if whoever at Iowa State was smart enough to approve this, Nike would say no, because it’s to good for Iowa State
The bugle logo is "in between" nothing. It's at the bottom end of any list.
I doubt they will all of a sudden listen to @amestoplease designs. This is a particularly good one, though! And no, they won't do the Cynado helmet, but I'd love to see this with a "Circle A" Ames logo (helmet or jersey). Also use our current yellow/gold for the numbers; it will be seen, and show up better visually. And that would solve a lot of problems also. AD wouldn't have to worry about changing our gold; keep it. Just add our 70's sunflower gold. This gold here, is a little darker than that but it's hard to tell with the dark lighting on the photoshop.
Addendum re: my response to @exCyDing ... not intended as criticism -- mainly I would put bugle and cyhawk trophy 2.0 closer to the same level.
Occasionally, in retrospect, I wish we had kept Pewter Farm Family — UI would've been forced to display in trophy case all but about once so far
They're going to be lame, but you kinda have to hype them. This is marketing more than anything. I also don't think there's been an inordinate amount of hype. Maybe they'll surprise us.
Our athletic department seems to be all in on very little white on home uniforms and that bright ass yellow. Some of the softball uniforms are hideous, but I almost respect them for leaning into it. I'll give them this also, softball does a good job of throwing in a lot of variations, which is easier in softball than football or basketball. The jerseys in that tweet are decent because the gold on top is minimal, whereas our football jerseys have the massive yellow numbers. I'm hoping we get an updated number font this season that slims them down closer to what they were originally.
