New Uniforms Revealed

I have no design skills whatsoever but I don’t understand the white pants with no stripe or anything to tie in the cardinal/gold. And no white in the tops to bring in the white from the helmets and/or pants. I don’t get it. It’s not that hard.

Agreed, pants of the current set are rather plain. some sort of stripe to match the design of the sleeves would be ideal imo.

I’ve always kind of seen the current uniforms as an ode to the McCarney days. Shade of cardinal is different, but we wore plain white pants and monochrome cardinal then too.

Maybe you have more design skills than you think.

Good point. I've got some new mocks I've been working on. Just haven't felt like finishing them yet. There is an argument to be made for a no stripe white helmet and pant, as well as a stripe for both.

What does't make a lot of sense is not putting some white in the cardinal jersey. If not the number, a stripe somewhere.

The all-white pants actually make sense to me. As we've seen they can be worn with C, W, or B.

They actually used a separate pair of white pants that went with the black tops. The I State on the right hip is stenciled black and the Nike logo on the left is black.

Definitely agree with everyone saying we need some white in the cardinal jersey. Even if it’s just white trim around the gold numbers…. although I’d prefer white numbers with gold trim.

I will say that the current uniforms are pretty nice looking, but could look even better with some small improvements.

And I’m not anti black uniforms at all…. I just think they needed to incorporate our school colors into them somewhere. Even if it’s just a small cardinal and gold I-State logo patch in a couple places somewhere.

I think that's why I think the road jerseys are very good as-is. The collar and the numbers incorporate two colors. Carry that over to the home cardinals with some white at those locations and you have a winner.
