I am skeptical that the white helmet will be what we wear for the bowl game. Probably just using a spare helmet to show of the sticker now that we don't have a no. 1 on the team anymore.

And that helmet has the state of Iowa sticker on it rather than Pennsylvania where Isheem is from.

White helmets are easily the best of the set. Only background color that really makes the I State pop. Cardinal helmets are at least better than what they were from 2008-2015ish.

I really like our cardinal helmets, but that's mostly because of the facemask and a great color of cardinal. I can't believe we haven't used a stencil I-State logo on cardinal helmets though. I'm not a big fan of our logo, but I agree, it looks pretty good on a white background. Just watch when they use our logo on ESPN. It looks like a middle school logo on a cardinal background but much more modern against white. Weird that it has that much of an effect on an identical logo.

I don't think they'd sew a patch on to a jersey just to try to throw off the detectives on CF. All blacks on vs. TCU were a late demand from the seniors. My guess is we're going W/C/W with the cardinal facemask.

I disagree...I like it on red or dark colors and not as much on white because the yellow/gold STATE doesn't have as much contrast against white despite the cardinal outline.

But on cardinal, they have to use so many different shades of red that the background usually looks pink on TV. It does look much better on out cardinal helmets, which is more important.

Are the blacks still such a big deal that the equipment twitter is trying to throw us off? The blacks have almost completely lost their luster because we decided to make them our base uniforms. We need to go back to using them once a year.

This article suggests that thick black robes don't transmit heat to the wearer as much but a thin black garment will get the wearer hotter than light colored clothing.
