If our fan base runs off coach Campbell it will be because Boomers couldn’t handle the black uni’s and they’d rather have school colors than wins.
I really don't see that happening. "Boomers" know that wearing black is a fair trade off for being relevant.
Gosh for some reason we haven’t been able to figure out the gold since then.
Whatever Matt Campbell tells us our colors are.
Personally I don't care all that much what colors we wear as long as the uniforms a) look good (the black alts look amazing) and b) the players and staff seem to like them and c) the color combo doesn't exactly match the Team Out East
Would I prefer we maybe not do the alt uniform thing every other game? Sure, but at the end of the day I don't think it's the huge deal the purists are making it out to be.

I know you don't know what you are saying so I'll forget you said it. It's almost as dumb as @CycloneErik 's OK Boomer.
And you think the fan base has anything to do with Campbell's uniform choices, or that he would even listen to what they want? Is the fan base demanding something different than what Campbell wants? No, No/maybe, No.

doesn't mean we have to go back to that...cardinal and gold looks super sharp...I do like our black uniforms, I Just wish we used them more as alternates and not what they became last year, which was basically a primary uniform...at the end of the day, all I truly care about is winning
Right. I do agree that we probably over-used them too much last year, but at the end of the day, like you said, winning is really what matters to me.
At the end of the day, I just don't see the point of getting bent out of shape too much about wearing cool-looking alternate uniforms that we seem to win in quite a bit more often than not,
Granted, I'm biased because these were the team uni's when I was in school, but this is one of the best looks we've had. This is when we got the "cardinal red and gold" colors right.
Colors right? Just look back at how the helmets were mustard. I'm old, and those unis were awful.
This was when we weren't trying to duplicate USC colors.
I'm seeing different yellows for the pants and different reds in the jerseys.
My only feeling on our Alt uni is it was supposed to be our Alt uni, and it has now become our main uni. I would rather see us keep it for special games or only a couple games a year as an alt, and use other combos more. I love the black but every game is a bit much, when we have so many other options. Alts are supposed to be special, and exciting when they are brought out. But now our alt black is just what it is, what we wear all the time, nothing special.
I am also one that wants a gold option both in Unis and most definitely a helmet. Again, just as an alternate or part of the rotation, as well as some retro logos like some other schools have done recently.
I would be completely fine with wearing black a couple games a year, and the above white with black a game or two as well, as long as we wear our regular unis too, and maybe add a gold option. But when we wear Black for every home game it seams pointless to have them as an "alt" uni and have our regular unis never get used.
