The "50th" commemorative logo will be a field logo.
"A commemorative logo includes the Bowl's trademark sunburst and script, along with a large 50 and five "laces" on a football, to signify the five decades the Fiesta Bowl has been in existence. It will be widely seen as the 50-yard marker on the field during the 50th playing of the PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl on January 2, 2021, between No. 25 Oregon and No. 10 Iowa State."
at least the white helmets are getting a great playing time in practice!!
I’ve been waiting a long time to see ISU cardinal and gold in a New Year’s bowl game. Black uniforms ok a few times, but not most of the timeWell I guess we are all black forever now. RIP cardinal
Alas, if ISU can make consistent appearance in NY6 bowls, we can use cardinal/gold next time. Hopefully both things occur again soon.
Look good play good. I’d rather keep CMC and the players happy rather than some grumpy old men. Donate millions more if you want a coach that will wear the jersey you want lol
TBF I’m not an old man or grumpy (unless 30s is old). Just surprised our alternates have been given such a long run of games without mixing things up. I think all black, all cardinal and all white are all super clean looks.
Not gonna lie, I was really hoping for the all cardinal look and Oregon going for the all green look. I think a color rush would have been cool.
I can almost guarantee if we beat Oregon in the black uniforms, that they will make an appearance at the Cyhawk game in 2021.
I have mixed feelings for the bowl game. I fall on the side that says give them what they want, but I do feel a little torn. I will say it's becoming a storyline among our own people, which is fine as long as it doesn't evolve into a distraction. However, one thing to think about is it drives Hawk fans absolutely crazy, they simply can't let it go, which has to be a good thing, right? Unfortunately, I'm hearing too many ISU fans openly bad-mouthing the black uniforms also. Perhaps this is why we can't have nice things! It's the freakin' Fiesta Bowl! I agree in a perfect world it's like "shut up, who cares?" But I think it's obvious that's unrealistic at the point. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say, so I will hang up and listen.

It'd be a gaudy juxtaposition, but impossible to ignore. (I would dig it, others will disagree).
I would drop hundreds of dollars on stuff like this yet it's never what they sell to the public
If you want a “juxtaposition”, that would be us wearing our bland monochrome, and Oregon choosing to wear some of their gaudy neon stuff.
