I'm gonna sound old but can we not just wear cardinal and gold for once? I like the blacks but its been overplayed this year. Was hoping since we lost we would see a return to school colors.

I cringe when I see the bird in a blender and the CrinerClone at our games. Hate them.
That said, I can get behind the Criner Clone without the Iowa State wordmark above it. Plane old Cyclone in that shape would look good IMO. Gotta clense that era so it cannot be the exact same brand. Coach Orr hated that damned logo.

A lot of people hate it because we were SO bad during that period. I like it much better without the script above the cyclone. I think the cyclone by itself is one of our absolute best cyclone related logos.

Coach Orr hated that logo from the 80's- would not let it touch his program. Out of respect to him, I won't attach his hame to that logo. Besides, Criner and Roger Gade brought it here.

That said, just the tornado from that logo is seriously good and should be used in our rotation of logos IMO. Just without the Iowa State script above it to purge away NCAA probation, Burger King and awful football.

I still love them too, just wish there were a bit darker

I know, coach (and players) get what they want, we still have a good W-L with the black, but at some point have to balance traditional colors with the uniqueness of an alternate. Now it's like when we do wear C&G combo, *that's* the alternate.

I have no insider knowledge but I’m thinking we are getting punked and they are doing something different. It would be very easy for them to hang those jerseys, slap a patch on the front one then tweet it.

That’s a logo for their top 50 players and coaches, not the official patch.
