Unless it's an actual gold and not yellow gold it's all ick.
Nope, I'm not. Minnesota had their yellow helmets on vs Iowa. I think the same night Ankeny had their all yellow uniforms against Dowling. It was a reminder how disgusting it is.
This is perfect! The best gold color IMO (I'm not a fan of yellow).
If Iowa State wins a national title they can wear whatever they want.
I've always thought the white helmets with C/G/C striping down the middle looked sharp. And the I-State logo pops the best on it.
Except those aren't our colors.
There is a middle ground between the yellow crap currently in our colors and that ND/49ers gold. The muted yellow of the late '70s is it and should be a part of our uniforms. I don't mind the black jerseys, but I'm not a big fan of just ditching our school colors because the head coach likes wearing black clothes. Iowa State is bigger than Matt Campbell.
Yeah I get it. I just think it's dumb and unfortunate. I'd prefer to wear our school colors.
I'm with you to some extent. I think the all-black looks sharp and I'm willing to indulge a successful coach's preference. Even so, it's an alternate and I don't know where the line is between uniqueness and overdoing it.
