That's the difference between a picture taken at night and another taken on a sunny day.

And the Iowa game is during the day, so the cardinal chrome is going to look almost pinkish. Put that up against our true cardinal jersey's, and it will be a total joke. And yes I mean "joke", because likely we will be made fun of the following week for rolling out the ugliest uniforms of the week.

While it may be lighting in these 2 pics, I still think our shade of chrome cardinal doesn't match the rest of our uniforms, its too much of a bright red, like what we used to have. While I don't care what shade of "red/cardinal" we go with, we need to have them all be the same shade, especially when we wear them at the same time.
While I like chrome aspects, I just think our shade is off, I think maybe we need to actually make it darker than the rest because being chrome actually brightens it up more and makes it look lighter.

Chrome red most certainly does not need to “match” the uniform red. It just needs to complement it.

Anyone else pick up the black replica uniform? I thought it looked good enough to warrant a purchase.Still wish it was a number that had some weight (32; 18; 15) but I was impressed with it. Best team in the state to wear black.
 
This FOX tweet on retro Big 12 logos got me thinking ()

I would love to see use use walking Cy on a helmet/uni combo this year. (white helmet would be good for it).

This is a possibility I thought of when they posted those helmets. It isn't unprecedented either. A few years ago ISU wore road jerseys in JTS and Iowa wore their home blacks.
