New Uniforms Revealed

Anyone else notice the gold stencil logo this morning? I don't think we have seen that before, would assume it would be only for the cardinal helmets.

Those would look sweet on the black helmets!!!!

I think the black uniforms are perfect. They are very clean. It seems pretty clear that they did not include cardinal and gold on purpose. The black unis are alternate uniforms. We are not trying to introduce a third school color.

Correct. I don't get the hate by a few for the black. The kids LOVE them. 'Nuff said.

I'm typically in the same boat, but at least a couple of the 3-color options could look sharp and unique. (More so the G/W/C than W/C/G)

No, combos will usually look best w/ only 2 colors, IMO.

I'd favor a deeper shade of gold as well, but I feel yours is juuust a bit too dark. Otherwise HOME RUN in my opinion.

i like the toned-down gold used in the throwbacks and realize this is a pipe dream, but that's exactly what all of this is anyway. here's a more likely version of the gold.

I’m sure they’ll play with the helmets. Take the black helmet, use the red stencil logo instead and add the chrome red facemask. Let the players use red accessories with the black uniforms like armbands & gloves. Use the black facemask on the red helmet, etc.

Bingo! It will be interesting to see how often we see the all-black. Maybe just 1x/year, if that. And how it gets accessorized. Might see the black combos a bit more. Wouldn't surprise me to see a red I-State stencil logo on black helmet sometime in near future.

Even would work with the stenciled I-State logo on the helmet. Also, stripe down the center of the helmet ALWAYS looks better than one without. Don't know why we can't figure that out.

The gold stencil is/was used on the red chrome.

It doesn’t even look like a stencil on the red chrome.

White aways are great, the other two are alright. Wish the home ones were better. Sucks not having gold alternates or the grays (I was starting to like them last year.)

The Liberty Bowl helmets are great, glad we will see those in the rotation. Bugle helmet/logo...good riddance!
