Kind of hard to tell until you see them hit the field in real life, but this gold is great. I think the earlier post is right about the mismatch of modern/traditional. And definitely no collar design on the road uni.

Yes, good redition of 1978, Earl Bruce's last year. I know you are modernizing it for a mock gold color. Could you pick a different gold? This one has a little too much orange vibe, for my taste. I used to like it for a time, on my 'gold' journey, haha.
Could you try this w/ your version of our '70's sunflower gold? And I say 'your version' because I'm not sure what the exact gold hex code was for that period. It's just a best guess, I think I'm narrowing it down. I'll post what I'm finding later/soon.
Definitely need gold trim with the white numerals, and kill that collar stuff on the white jersey.
You may like it, and that's fine. But as far as the historical '70's gold, this shade is quite a bit off.
Unless you know the exact hex code of a particular color, what you see in pics/images on a computer screen, can vary greatly in actual color, due to lighting, exposure, shadows, etc. So it is difficult to zero in on a shade of gold, that was either used in the past, or one that we just agree is different but like.

The top overlayed box is an 'estimate' of what our '70's sunflower gold was (see, (cycloneuniforms.weebly.com), for any 1970 uniform; this is close but I think it might have been a shade darker). The middle overlayed box is from (cycloneuniforms.weebly.com) also, but from the 1981 season. We had (I think) a slight gold color change in 1979, with Donnie Duncans first year, so this would represent his tenure. The 3rd (bottom) overlay box is from 073jb's recent post. It is darker still but also with a lot more 'orange'.
Our gold history is an interesting study. I will post an image soon, which shows the historical gold (and cardinal) progression, since the Stapleton era. Needless to say, our current gold/yellow is much lighter and brighter than these shades.
No. None! Haha, that I can find anyway! If there are any, they are sure hard to find.
Part of it is just the era, not much color going on yet. We were pretty good in the early '60's, though. Stapleton's 1960 team went 7-3, and beat both Nebraska and Oklahoma that year. Too bad the administration didn't back the growth of the football program like it could have. I digress.
Here is all I have, the 1960 team uni here.
This 1960 uniform set started in 1957, with Stapleton's first year at ISU being 1958. But we had this light shade of gold, not the darker one, back in 1947. Prior to this, I would have to do more research.

Here is my 1978 Dexter Green game jersey. This is actually an “in season” replacement as his original was shredded. This is why no shoulder numbers which photos document during the season.If you follow the link to Dexter Green photos, all four are from 1978 & they have stripes in each photo

Maybe all the money we are spending on new uniforms could be better spent on the Tennis team; at least they are winning. I hope for a different outcome, whether old uniforms or not, this season.
Imagine what a difference cooling helmets would have made at that Baylor game where the Baylor sideline put a competitive edge over ISU player safety. If ISU O-linemen aren't throwing up on the sideline from the heat ISU wins that game.
All three of those are better than what we have now. I still prefer the top box and would put the middle box comfortably in 3rd of those three. I understand computers make it difficult to zero in on.
Thanks for your contribution to the uniforms thread. We are not getting new uniforms as far as I know, so you can rest assured we're spending our dollars efficiently.
Hmm I thought we were due for new uniforms or an update this year for both basketball and football?
We might get a slight update for football, I have no clue. But I'm not expecting anything new. We're definitely due for new basketball jerseys.
Yes, and we've wasted 'how many dollars' on these useless Trice commemorative Uniforms. Someone needs to be held accountable!
Edit: Ehr, @Lineup, I was kidding!! The Trice unis are worth it, 100 year memory, etc. And maybe we will use them more than 1x.

It doesn't look like any new unis this year, based on the couple of releases so far this year. Could be a deceptive ploy however.

I plan on doing another b/c/g, and a c/c/g , c/c/c soon with and without a pant stripe option.
