Extremely crude retoning of amestoplease G-C-G sample -- with a little deeper gold/cardinal. (Ignore orange-ness of Purdy's face, effects aren't element-specific). Helmet still a bit too intense, but cardinal mask might help it a bit.

I like this gold a lot better. Think it would look pretty good as a metallic helmet with this shade of gold.
This is better. The "gold" we use now is way too bright.
I'd like that, but not if worn too often. But I also remember when teams only had one home and one away uniform.
Revised take vs. my previous comment - in some ways the W-C-G could appeal to me, probably would have to use I-State logo on helmet, though (no gold in this version). Even that combo probably sparingly.
(would like to see all of these with our regular logo, actually, to compare).
I think once we saw the gold pants on the field a lot of minds would change. Home C/C/G would look very good, and I would love to see what an away W/W/G combo would look like. Cant hurt to wear it once or twice a year.
I like the idea of the "zig zag" being used on these mock ups, but I think it needs to be moved up higher to look more like a lightning bolt (what I always thought that one on the sleeve was, because storms and all). Currently it looks like a barbed tail, and our colors are already similar enough to ASU's, we don't need to be any closer to their logo.

Helmet:
Gold helmet needs to have either a white stripe down the center with cardinal stripes next to that or just one singular cardinal stripe. Needs to have a Cardinal facemask as well. (Maybe just the cardinal facemask would make it look better without stripes?) The all gold helmet and facemask looks like it doesn't work. Chin-strap needs to be cardinal as well.
Jersey:
Gotta have WHITE numbers on the jersey IMO. Outlined in gold would work. If you are going to use gold, white has to be incorporated as well in using GCG.
Pants:
Pants also need either one singular cardinal stripe or white center stripe and cardinal stripes accompanying it too.
Closer, but needs more yellow. I think t-noah calls it sunflower yellow or something.

Gave this a Like, generally agree. If any striping, single-strip only (matches concept of sleeve stripe -- any double/triple is going to be too busy).
I think white numerals with gold trim would be good for W-C-W, but I'd stick with current gold numeral for a G-C-G (or a G-C-C, if that happened to be used). Tie-in to helmet & pants factor.
Side note -- for those who dislike having a gold option, that's fine, but also it'd be only one combo of many, so it'd be infrequent in the rotation. (so even if Campbell is anti-gold as is widely assumed, he might decide it could be added for occasional use).
Hard pass. I hate the khaki color. The metallic gold can work on helmets, but it always looks bad on the pants
Another minor tweak I'd like to see - for G-C-W, make the pants stripe gold and the shoes cardinal (if shoe option is possible).
Those of us who remember seeing the good Cyclone teams of the 70s are probably likely to like the gold helemts and gold pants.
