Agreed. They are all great athletes. That team was more fun to watch than the team we've had the last 2 years. I think next years team has the potential to be lots of fun to watch too though, and possibly even more fun if we can compete for a top 4 spot in the big 12.

Agreed. I think next years team could be better (hopefully) than the team 3 years ago. I don't see us competing for a top 4 spot but I hope we can hover around .500 in conference and get near 20 wins on the season.

next years lineup will without a doubt be better than this years, especially cause i feel that craig will indeed be back.

Honestly, with the news of said new recruit, a lot of my optimism about Brackins coming back has left. Cyismydog initially said the new recruit verbally committed sometime this weekend, and Brackins indicated he would go back home for spring break and discuss his options with his family. The timing of this just kills my optimism of Brackins coming back. Hope I am wrong.

I would be at least 1,000 times more shocked if I heard Brackins was leaving for another school than I was at the news of WJ leaving for Syracuse. Brackins is a much more loyal person than WJ was.

we have been recruiting this guy longer than just when brackins might be good enough to leave for the NBA though. I think brackins stays, gilstrap, colvin, and dendy make it to campus and clinton mann transfers. for the first time in mac's career he may be able to feild a team that can compete game in game out.

haha. Hope i didn't get ur hopes up, there is no way as a cyclone fan all of those things happen.

So your saying for the first time in the History of Iowa State the offseason could go just how we all planned it in our minds. NEVER. My guess is we lose one other player not named Craig. I have no inside on this it's just that we never get lucky enough to keep everyone we want while picking up some we don't need.

Sometimes recruits want a chance to tell other Coaches, Family Members, Friends and such and not read it on a message board.

Dendy has Offically comitted to ISU as of last evening.

Also on a side note for your scholarship worriers, Mann will be transfering to a program that will better fit his needs as a player.

That's also why I don't understand when people get all pissed off when they get information but people can't say where or why they heard something. A lot of us want to respect our sources for information, as well as the people involved. I'm sure dags, cimd and I all have information that we could share but choose not to because the time's not right, or because we're trying to respect the people that gave it to us.

Why do you say that? If he had the offers from the other schools that we think he does, why would you think so? Have you seen him play?
 
Now that it sounds like this is official, what can people tell us about Dendy that actually know something?

Some sound underwhelmed by his numbers, other say that he is a huge athletic upgrade. Does he like to post up? Does he have a decent shot? What does he bring defensively and with rebounding?
 
All I can do is shake my head. Since, the beginning of the year we knew Mann wasn't going to be around and this is what we get.

Very similar to Brackins, but not as good...

It definitely appears that way, but who thought WJ was as disloyal as he turned out to be prior to his leaving? I didn't...
