I think this is the perfect hire for ISU at this time. Refreshing to have a HC that doesn't just hire his friends.

I remember that no one was really excited about any of GC's asst hirings, with exception of maybe Shep. Most others came to Ames without much of a highly rated reputation.
He's definitely not coming here, seeing as how he was named the new head coach at Utah State about a month ago.A Utah alum coaching at Utah. Not gonna come here.
How would you guys say our talent level compares to that of Rice?
I don't think I am qualified to coach.

Boner
I'm getting caught up to speed with the talent here but from what I heard the talent here is much much better. Rice's QB Chase Clement was a fantastic QB, just an amazing and accurate passer. He could run, he could throw he could do it all. Jarrett Dillard was an All American and a sensational talent. Both of these guys do have a chance to play on Sundays.
Arnaud has a hell of an arm, is pretty bright, and is a VERY underrated runner. He got himself out of a lot of sacks this year, and made some absolutely tough runs where he was dragging multiple guys for extra yards. His biggest weakness right now is his touch on the ball. It seems that he's always throwing bullets, and has a tendency to put the ball high. His receivers haven't helped him much, dropping a lot of balls too. I think he will become one of the best all-around QBs we've had at ISU, even in comparison w/Rosenfels and Wallace. Right now he isn't as accurate as Rosenfels, but he's more athletic, and while not as athletic as Wallace, he controls the ball a little more. Most people around here seem to forget that Wallace threw more picks than touchdowns in his college career.
Where is coach Price?
