New OC announced on

How receptive do you think our current offensive players are going to be with this hire?

Probably don't have much info right now with students still being on break, but what the hell, thought I'd ask.

I don't know how impressed Bo will be, ill probably try to talk to him soon about it, But Tiller will be elated, and the receivers are pretty excited. Bo came to ISU to touch the ball 20+ times a game, I think he will be mild about it because Herman finds ways to get his playmakers the ball.. We'll see.

The only one I'd really be concerned with is Bo Williams being the reason he came here was to be in a I style running attack and away from the spread at Florida. However, Herman did have a successful running game at Rice.

I personally think that with the type of offense that Herman runs Bo will be more of a weapon. He will have plenty of opportunities and will be put in positions to make big plays. I hope he is excited because I am excited to see him in this offense. Great hire by PR!!

If Bo is a playmaker he will get the ball. You still need to run the ball. Watching Rice's bowl game it looked like they did a bit if everything and were very inotivate.

The thing is, This is the type of offense Bo was trying to get away from at Florida, The other positive in this situation is Chizik hired Malzahn, so the offenses are similar, so a stay in Ames would probably be of best interest to Bo.

Bo really liked coach Rhoads though, said he was a very classy guy.

Was he really trying to get away from that offense, or Tim Tebow? If Tebow wasn't there, the RB's would get a lot more touches. Bo has the spead for the spread. Schwartz is the one I'm worried about. Not sure how you utilize a guy like that?

I'm starting to think Paul Rhoads has some pretty good connections and is well respected around the world of college football. I'm so over what's his name.

I am in full agreement here. I think people in the know really respect PR. I am guessing that in the football world he has been a somebody for a while now.

Wow I hope he stays, I think we can give him the touches he needs.

Yes our offense is going to be Yippee-ki-yay, mother******.
