New DG game plan...

The fact Lucca is ahead of Willoughby in anything basketball related ruins my day.

What a clutch player. Lucca on the other hand...worthless unless left wide open or being guarded by 5'10 Drake defenders.

:smile: Exactly. Alright, thread drift over...back to the OP....

OK... if DG is knocking down a high percentage in practice I'm OK with continuing to let him try to get his shot working in games.

If not... why not let him do everything he does well and have him feed those players who have high percentage shots? If we could of had other players take the 20 or so shots DG jacked up only to miss... we may have had another 16-20 points scored.

Something is making me think that Fred is the coach and he has a plan..not you...something is making me thinking that..maybe I'm wrong though

1. Jake Sullivan 42.4%
2. Fred Hoiberg 40.0%
3. Lucca Staiger 40.0%
4. Ron Bayless 39.1%
5. Dedric Willoughby 39.0%
6. Michael Nurse 38.7%
7. Kantrail Horton 38.3%
8. Bryan Petersen 38.0

10. Will Blalock 36.5%
11. Justus Thigpen 36.2%
12. Brian Pearson 36.2%
13. Mike Taylor 36.0%
14. Terry Woods 35.1%
15. Rahshon Clark 33.9%
16. Julius Michalik 33.3%
17. Wesley Johnson 31.6%
18. Curtis Stinson 30.2%
19. Craig Brackins 29.2%
20. Diante Garrett 27.7%

I look at this list and it's not hard to figure out why ISU has won only one NCAA tourney game in the last 10 years as compared to 8 tourney wins between 1992-2000. It's a simple game in that the team that makes the most shots usually wins. We haven't had enough good shooters lately.

Next year should be fun with Allen, Babb and Christopherson (A,B,C) on the wings!

Good God. Did Willoughby ever pass? 487 in 2 years?

We wanted him to shoot it anytime and anywhere. The guy had ice in his veins and could rise up and shoot. One guy on that list who rarely gets mentioned bu absolutely deserves it is Ron Bayless.

As I posted last night, I don't want to prohibit Diante from shooting open 3's. But I think within the flow of specific games, if it isn't falling, it's wasting a possession, because it would play against his greater strengths, like play-making.
