New Commit

I might have my questions about the size of some of the recent commitments, but Jeremy looks like far and away the best athlete so far!

Welcome to the Cyclones, Jeremy, I'm really looking forward to seeing you play!

All right, so the listed 4.30 40 on Scout suggests that he won't necessarily be a corner--but they also have him at 5'7 150.

With the number of corners we are recruiting...could we be switching to a 3-3-5 to combat the spread. I say we get as many fast guys out there that we can.

What is it with the midgets lately? 5-8 156??? Seriously. We had enough of undersized corners with Mac in the early '00's.

I was really hoping for Green--and we don't have an unlimited supply of schollies to offer.
It is too bad you don't recruit for us. Every time we get a commit you manage to berate them. You obviously know what we need better than the coaches.

Doing some quick searches online he seems to have very good speed and has returned a few punts back for touchdowns this season. It seems as if the staff is targeting guys with speed and big play ability.

I don't mind his size if he is within 20 yards of an A@M receiver. That would be a good start for Iowa State.

Apparently you don't read very closely. What I'm curious about is why you feel a need to focus on insulting me, rather than commenting than the player? Feel free to actually disagree substantively instead of just running me down.

I'm glad we've got such an athletic player. However, for a full time corner, I hope we can land Andrew Green. Green reminds me a little of Ter'ran Benton.

I read your post, 3 times now. It seems to me you are still degrading this kid. In fact, by using the word midget, I'm sure you've offended more than just the recruit.

I don't post on this site ever, but why do you post this crap you do realize anyone can read this. I bet you figured Seneca Wallace was to small to, I like this kid we could use his quickness welcome to the good guys Jeremy.

Oh the irony. You insult a new Cyclone recruit then cry foul when someone gives it back.

I wasn't referring to just that post. However, you might want to read the rest of my posts, even merely just in this thread, let alone those about "every other" recruit that he refers to.

Demeaning? My ***. For major college football, a guy 5-7 150 IS a midget. Would you have preferred if I had said Smurf? The Redskins were quite proud of their Smurfs. How is that offensve?

However, I stand by what I said. Going purely by stature, recent recruits are undersized by many standards. 5-7 150, 5-8 166, 5-11 168, and even 5-9 185 are a collection of undersized guys, a couple of them midgets by Big XII standards. Are you seriously going to disagree with me?

For that matter, LSU's Tristan Paul, at 5-5, is a midget, too, by those same standards. Is that somehow supposed to be "offensive"? :skeptical:

Okay, so some of them are fast. Still, some I have questions about. Since I'm not an insider, it's my right to have questions about them--until they are answered, either by the coaching staff, or by their play on the field.

Who has GC signed in his short time that would make you think that he does a poor job of evaluating recruits?

Im glad this kid is with us.

I'm happy with the recruit because the staff likes him, but I'm really worried about recruiting on the O-Line and D-Line. I was hoping we would have more commits with size by now.

I would be a really happy camper with Spence, Carpenter and Gaines.

Im sure you can think of alot more words for "midget", heres a nice and polite way to say it...undersized

I will quote Marty Terrell bad job out of you Aclone, why don't you work on rewording your post how bout that? You can say it is what is all you want but I have read you bashing recruits time and time again. I understand this is an opinion based website, and I have no problem with people's opinions that differ from my own, but name calling is out of line IMHO.
