Iowa State has picked up a commitment from JUCO CB Lonnie Johnson.

Iowa State has added three-star JUCO DB Lonnie Johnson, who also had an offer from Texas Tech and others.

Lonnie Johnson was offered by Iowa State tonight and committed on the spot because of his previous relationship with the staff.

Johnson was committed to Ohio State in high school and had offers from Missouri and Kentucky too. Ended up just missing and going JUCO.

Lonnie Johnson is Scout's No. 91 JUCO in the 2016 class. That makes two Top 100 JUCOs in this class (Oge Udeogu is No. 79).

He was committed to them, but barely missed qualifying.

Ohio State, Nebraska and Missouri offers coming out of high school. Committed and decommitted from OSU in 2013. Was going to be part of the 2014 OSU recruiting class at the time.
