It's a good one. I almost think it doesn't represent a fail, it represents a higher level of thinking.
That's good to know, but I still wouldn't put a dime on him actually ending up here. Too much time, too much turmoil. Thanks for the update though.
Albany's Dir of Basketball Ops is from Cedar Rapids. I saw them play several times when I lived in VT and went to UVM games semi-regularly. They always had several Iowa players on their team. That said, they should be no competition against ISU for recruits even with a coach who's job security is somewhat questionable.
Wow i hate this. I saw him play at the state tourny and i wasnt impressed at all. He didnt do one thing that made him stand out. Also i find im really annoying in the game i watched all he did was complain at the refs after they called obvious dirty fouls on him. I dont like his game at all.
For the guys complaining about people leaving, he is a huge ISU fan. He's here for the long haul. Not worried about that in the least.
Honestly the retention problems have me changing my mind on recruiting strategy. I say we go 100% juco. Then they are locked in.

I would much much rather get Ross travis, Andre henley or someone else. unless this kid has improved a lot in a month otherwise im not happy wit this news at all. crazy!
There are probably a lot of kids we can't get because they don't know if the people recruiting them will be around for long
I work with Ross' cousin and despite Ross' cousin's past (somewhat loose) connection with McD, I get the impression that Ross will not be a Cyclone. I hope I am wrong because I hear that the kid is good.
I would take Ogelsby over him and im sure theres other players that are better.

The expectation is that this Utoff kid will be in the national top 150 or higher by the summers end. The comparison to the Minnesota bigs and how they blew up is a good comparison.

Unless he goes against the genetic dynamic of his family, he will put on some good weight.
His uncle is one of my favorite cyclones of all time.
He is the kind of guy that we need to get and then surround him w/ one or two playmakers (Wisconsin template).

Ok. I was just basing that off of 1 game. When Ames played Oglesby i was impressed with him. And i wasnt impressed when i saw Uthoff play. But i guess i'll believe you because you know what your talking about.
Oglesby? No way!! He's most definitely not a Big 12 player. He can shoot pretty well.
