NET Rankings

Nothing dumber than making more excuses. We've seen that 3 out of the last 4 years with the program.

Who's making excuses, I'm stating facts. How would you have expected this to play out?

If those "excuses" are so dumb then tell me how you think it should have worked with 6 new faces and 3 players going pro that would have been here. If you think that is anywhere as dumb as using a metric that Literally admits that its nearly useless until almost half the games have been played then I don't know what to tell you.

NET is garbage in garbage out until all data sets are well connected. Is it going to look the way we want it to at the end of the year? No. Is it going to have us behind all those teams the OP is so concerned about? also NO. Its not good, but the sky is not falling. I assure you. And saying so is only going to hurt the current team and future roster, because it isn't changing.

I mean, nobody else deals with players leaving or COVID right?!?!??!

Look at other high turnover teams, like Duke, Virginia, and Kentucky, I'm sure they should just fire their coach too right? Many of the teams that are killing it right now are garbage in 6 weeks. They've been together for 3,4 and 5 years won't matter when the real teams are gelled. Can we be one of those real teams that get it together we'll see but haveing 2 games canceled at terrible times is not going to help. That's not an excuse its a fact I still hope to have them overcome.

That's not even really what I'm arguing as I don't think that arguing either side of that debate is dumb, what is dumb is using bad a stat that is by its own admission very flawed at this point in the season and saying "oh my god we are worse than ******** bluberry state."

Right. But I get what he is saying. There are reasons why we suck. But, for me, I'm tired of them. Prohm's first basement finish in the Big 12 was to be expected after he lost all of Fred's players and had to make the program his. That's excusable.

But finishing 9-9 in the conference and getting upset in the first round of the NCAA tournament with Halliburton, THT, and other decent pieces was frustrating. And then last year finishing in the basement again was frustrating but we were resetting again. This year, a couple of key guys from last year and more talent brought in this year, and we are looking at another basement finish in the conference.

Once - ok, it is what it is.
Twice - concerning
Three times - a trend

When does it end? If the answer is it doesn't, that's concerning.

The results haven't been good enough since Fred's guys left. If the team keeps performing like it has against WVU and Texas, and we add Hunter and Hinson next year, I'm confident that can be a tourney team. A lot has to happen between now and then though obviously.

Just calm down folks. The ‘rona will keep everything the same for next year unless a coach leaves on their own.

Can we fire this bum yet? Is there anyone on this page that still thinks this guy deserves to keep his job?
