I have never seen any that look like that, but depending on the size of jar, they might work for small canning jars instead of pickling jar tongs. Or maybe a gonad vice.

Another idea. It's for draining the liquid from cans of tuna. Everyone should have one.

Unless you have evolved into buying your tuna in pouches or in steak form.
