Nebraska vs. ISU

I was going to say, it wouldn't have been a long race, because I was always a sprinter, never anything more than 200m.

See I myself am a 800 mile guy, so i guess it comes down to how long was the race actually was. Im going to conclude it was the rare but exciting 600m race, and it was a draw.

:notworthy: Soooo...... I guess I win! :wink::biggrin:

No you simply pulled ahead in the first 200 because of your superior sprinting skills, but I began to make up ground as you tired out and my superior endurance allowed me to tie you at the end of the 600m. The crowd however proclaims that I am much better looking and therefore win by default

Touche Dave, Our usual first string RB Roy Helu jr. (who was playing hurt) actually had 2 and Tray had 2. Good catch.

Ah can't blame you, when a team has that many in one game it's so hard to keep track

If anything, I should win because of homefield advantage!

And UNIguy takes it!!! UNIguy wins the "hopefully they contract VD" stakes. THH appears to have gone 8 bells following the finish... I'm guessing we won't be seeing much of him any time soon [fingers crossed]. lets follow up with UNIguy down in the winners circle...

UNIguy do you have anything to say about the race??

You sir are the definition of a ******. Perhaps it would be wise to read my first post, you know the one that started the thread in which I stated ISU won, and deserved to win? If your going to B**** like a little girl why don't you atleast do it about something that I actually stated. I stated facts, and did so to continue to talk football with opposing fans, so why dont you grow a pair and talk football without having to be so mellodramatic.

Typical husker name-calling. Sticks and stones, loser.

No I definitely give yall credit. Your D played hard and took advantage of our mistakes, and generally were ball Hawking all game. You have to admit though 5 within your 10 yard line? that is incredibly unlikely.
Yet it happened, and you lost:sad:

Not sure how that logic works. Take away all 8 of those turnover and we have atleast 5 more scores, and even assuming we just kick a field goal 4 times and only score a TD 1 time (which is unlikely) we score 26 points. Seeing as we held Texas, OU, Mizzou, and VT to less than 15 points, and all three of those teams have a much better O than ISU even with their starters, your completely wrong. Good try though.

You know what happens when you assume...you lose, and you lost.

Did you by any chance watch the game? 4 of the turnovers were within ISU's 5 yard line, 1 within the 10. With our Kicker those are definite scores, and seeing as tray averaged 5 yards a carry against yall it's safe to assume we would score a TD atleast 1 time. Maybe you should have researched the game before posting.

Too bad your kicker couldn't put you over the top; you lost, remember?

For you to say it's insane logic that we would score when we have the ball on your 5 is not particularly intelligent. Those may be different games but our D was incredibly consistent, its reasonable to assume that if 4 teams with much better offenses than ISU couldnt score more than 16 points, ISU wouldnt either. You started the game of what if's, and I logically broke it down.
I talked to Mr. Spock. He said that while your logic is okay you still lost. Sorry.

You took advantage of our 3rd string RB not being able to hold onto the ball. Yes ISU won the game, and it was a signature win for a great coach. Either way it doesnt matter, Neb won the north (crowning them the best team) and ISU finished 4th out of 6 teams. Doesnt matter that you beat us, it just happened.

Our second string RB and QB won, but you lost.

Touche Dave, Our usual first string RB Roy Helu jr. (who was playing hurt) actually had 2 and Tray had 2. Good catch.

Excuses are like husker neighbors; everybody has one and they all stink.

After winning by default, I leave and begin the long lonely drive back home, accompanied only by the pride of victory. You however are accompanied home by a beautiful home-team girl who want nothing more to console you. In the end we are both winner i think sir.

we're still trying to get a word with UNIguy following his big race win. If we are not fortunate enough to speak with him this evening, we will surely be able to follow up with him tomorrow morning when he inevitably starts another expansion thread.

Well, thankfully this was just an exhibition race. So, you won something that doesn't go on record, but I go home with a hottie to give me a massage, followed by explicit acts. You may have won, but I really actually WON.

And at the end of the race the home-team D bag yells and taunts me as I leave, criticizing me on a race he himself did not have the balls to take part in while it was occuring.

I know congratulate you sir on a horribly late and unimaginative retort to a post many pages ago. I now will retire to bed to reflect upon Nebraska Big 12 north title, and top 10 preseason ranking. While you reflect upon a game that could not save you from a 4th place finish out of 6 teams. No offense to dave and the other intelligent ISU fans, just giving my belated friend a little perspective.

My god man, why are you peeing in the wind?

ISU was picked to finish dead last in the Big 12. We beat you and also went to a bowl game and won it. ISU exceeded expecations by a long shot while Nebraska fans were generally disappointed.

You were pretty good most of this thread, but blew it on this last post.

and I concede to your victory, only to hope that when we race again on my home track I can both win, and be accompanied home by a hottie. So I look forward to that future date.
