If only we hadn't dropped those games to K State, Kansas, and Okie State. Those apparently matter more than ISU beating Texas 2 out of 3.

Never wanted a 2 seed to get bounced in the 1st as bad as I want Iowa to get bounced....just so I don't have to hear about a certain someone for the rest of the tourney
Gotta imagine this was determined before today. This is the drawback to having the tournament this week rather than last week for many of the women's tournaments.
Obvious is obvious. All they had to do was switch us and Texas, problem solved, but guess they had travel plans set in stone.
Yeah having a Sunday Championship game does those winning teams no favor in terms of seeding I think. It's the same thing for the mens leagues that play that day.
It just really bothers me that we have a harder schedule than Texas, we beat them two out of three, we are a higher RPI, and we have the same number of losses. Big 12 regular season tie for first for Texas when ISU had a major adjustment to make after losing two centers meant much more than all of those other things I guess. On the bright side, we are playing really well right now and I think Ashley is going to continue to take this team on her back and we have the talent, but more importantly the determination to make it far!
At least this year they didn’t have Calapari on their men’s show.
Both the Men and the Women had a period during the year where they lost games they had no business losing. They both got in, with decent seeds. After the first game it doesn't matter a lot unless there is a major upset in the opposing bracket. Just go win the games.
Will we face Tennessee is question. There have been at least 3 chances for a meeting but didn't happen.
In I think 98 we needed to beat Rutgers at home but lost.
In 2002 we needed to beat BYU at home to face Tennessee but lost.
In 2009 we won our first round game but defending champ Tennessee lost in a first round game for the first time in program history.

I remember 2002 - that was a huge letdown. IIRC we already planned on going to Saturday (vs Vols) as we couldn’t make it on Thursday
