Not surprising the NCAA wants 1/3 of the top 25 to be half of the Big Ten.
This isn't the AP poll, which is the number you see next to your school on TV. Who cares about this one.

I want Nebraska to lose every game. badly.
They will win some thanks to whtever of the crap show of RutgersMarylandIllinois they have on the schedule. They'll beat Minnesota because PJ has become the Beto O'rourke of college football coaches. That and the cupcakes get them at probably #20 by the end of the year of Iowa gives them the game.
This all could have/should have been different. They should be more lowly in stature...hell we let 2 wins get away in the '00's. Of course they gave us the so proud one too.

What about Northwestern? They lose most of their noncon games every year, then coast through the Big 10 west, then are crowned as this awesome team.

Not really? We have our past perceptions of players that might tell us what this year will look like. Just like a data point saying we **** the bed in early games.
That poll is a farce - it is not affiliated with the NCAA. When was the last time the NCAA even put out football rankings? I clicked on the link to go to their website and the page wouldn't even launch. This poll is the opinion of a writer, not the NCAA. Look at this line and find the error - The NCAA has released it’s official Top 25.
Among many other absurdities, there is no reason to rank Ohio State 3rd. This can't be a legitimate poll...
To indicate what a farce this poll is, four of the top 25 are from the Big Ten West.
Yeah, a team like Alabama or Clemson could start the season ranked next year if they finished this year 4-8. But they're Alabama and Clemson, Nebraska isn't. And Nebraska could have a good year this year, but they shouldn't get the benefit of that going in.This X100.
I won't be at all shocked to see Nebraska at #20 by the end of the season (they finished on an uptick) but JFC they were 4-8 last year.
Yeah, that was really generous. I don't have a problem with being ranked to start the season, and I think we'll have a good year (though our schedule out of the east is brutal), but I would put us in the 20's, not 16th.
